Lawn mowing

Spring and Fall clean up

Mowing grass is a major task on most home owners weekly list of to dos.  In general, lawn mowing is the most common practice in lawn care.   It is also the most frequently done task of landscaping.  It generally takes about thirty to sixty minutes to mow the average home lawn (10k square feet).  Over the growing season this time adds up.  Although mowing your grass may seem simple, it’s one of the most critical tasks to having a nice-looking lawn.  Cutting it improperly can have an adverse impact on the health of your lawn.   Cutting it properly not only will look great to the neighbors but will help increase the density of the grass, as well as groom strong, drought tolerant, healthy grass.  Not doing it right will open your yard up to environmental stresses that will adversely impact your grass to flourish.

When the snow finally melts away, we see all the mess it’s been hiding under its glistening winter beauty.  We celebrate that the snow is gone, however it leaves us with a big job to do.  Leaves in landscape beds, plants that need trimming back, lawn debris like twigs and branches all over the yard, just to name a few. Before the winter snows come there’s blowing and raking leaves, the last mow of the season, getting shrubs, trees and plants wrapped to protect from the harsh cold.  We can put a plan in place to get these daunting tasks done for you.  Call 231-674-1065 today and we’ll work up a plan for you.

Lawn Fertilization

Fertilizing a lawn can be a daunting project and a long one at that.  Getting the right treatment schedule can be challenging.  Applying too much fertilizer can cause your lawn to burn.  Too little and you mitigate the benefits of applying fertilizer and leave the grass susceptible to weeds and improper growth.  Let us take the guess work out of it with an annual plan.

Aerating & Dethatching

A healthy lush lawn needs nutrients to reach the soil below the grass.  A huge way to achieve this is a process called aeration.  Proper aeration of the lawn allows air and water to penetrate built up grass from mowing (thatch).  Another key process to a healthy lawn is dethatching.   If thatch becomes too thick it is bad for the grass and must be removed.  Although some thatch is healthy for your lawn, it should be kept to less than ½ inch thick otherwise it will become a barrier to water and nutrients getting to the root system and can promote disease and insect infestations to the lawn.  Give us a call at 231-674-1065 or complete the online request form and we can schedule a free consultation

Snow Removal Service

When our properties are under the winter blanket of snow, of course there's no maintenance required of our lawns and landscaping as they "sleep" and await the spring.  However our driveways, parking lots sidewalk and steps need some attention to keep them clear and safe.  So when the rakes and spades are put away, we get the snowplows on our trucks and snow shovels and blowers in good order and are ready to keep your areas clear of snow.  Give us a call at 231-674-1065 or complete the online request form and we can put a snow removal plan in place for you.
We always strive to make your vision a reality
